All members are invited to attend the LARIA Annual General Meeting (AGM) from 16:45 to 17:30 on Tuesday 22nd May 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Chester. As in previous years, and as advertised in the current programme, this will be at the end of day one of the LARIA Annual Conference. If you are not attending the conference you will still able to attend the AGM (for free) as a LARIA member.
The AGM is a great opportunity to hear about how LARIA is run and to take part in the discussions. The agenda is below, but we would highlight in particular the opportunity to stand for election. There are a number of positions which will be vacant or where the incumbent could be looking for re-election. We are looking for LARIA members to put themselves forward and all LARIA Corporate Members to consider how their organisation is represented on the LARIA Council:
- Chair (vacant)
- Secretary (vacant)
- Vice Secretary (new post)
- Vice Treasurer (new post)
- Events Group Chair (vacant)
In addition there are places to join the LARIA Council as an elected member, and with our local groups. We would also be willing to consider individuals who would like to be co-opted onto the LARIA Council, or organisations who would like to propose a representative. If you wish to stand for election, or nominate someone from your organisation, please email email@example.com. Any member of the LARIA Council would be very happy to discuss the level of commitment required.
