The Scottish Government, with LARIA in Scotland, is hosting an event to share information about Scottish Household Survey (SHS), Scottish House Condition Survey (SHCS) and Scottish Survey Core Questions (SSCQ) in order to enhance understanding and increase use.
This event will be on Thursday 29 March 2018 from 09:30 to 15:30 at Victoria Quay in Edinburgh.
During the event, there will be discussion on evidence sources used by local stakeholders and sharing of examples of use of evidence from Community Planning Partnerships (CPP), third sector, government and academics.
There will also be a discussion of preferences for dissemination.
All members are invited to join us at the LARIA Away Day 2018. It will be an opportunity to meet and talk with members of the LARIA Council and other volunteers about how you would like it to develop in the future. The agenda is being set but is likely to include discussion of the following:
- How can LARIA contribute and help our members develop their use of data science and business intelligence?
- Should LARIA work closer with academics and others to promote professional development?
- How can LARIA build on our existing good links with Public Health and Social Care?
- How can we encourage LARIA members to publish more of their research and share best practice?
- The opportunities for volunteering within LARIA, including what commitment and opportunities elected positions involve.
If you would like to attend, have ideas on the agenda or would like to share you views on these issues in advance please email firstname.lastname@example.org
