London’s Poverty Profile is an independent source of information about poverty and inequality in the capital. It uses the latest official data to reveal patterns of poverty across the capital in a series of reports and charts. The most recent study showed that 2.1 million people were in poverty in London in the three years to 2011/12. Poverty is higher in London than the rest of England and incomes are more unequally spread than elsewhere.
