Wednesday 7 December 2016, King’s College London
ABCD is often accused of complicity with neo-liberal explanations of disadvantage and individualised solutions to community problems.
On 7th December, Dr Amanda Howard will challenge these criticisms by presenting practice examples from work in Australia. The examples show how ABCD involves working with communities and community workers in welfare, employment and health policy and offers an opportunity for resistance and subversion.
Come hear how to change the world – or at least change the balance a bit! Attendance is free, but places are limited, so please contact Jess Harris to book your place. Please click here for more information about this event and others run by the Social Care Workforce Research Unit.
