Older People and Human Rights Conference
Thursday 9th February 2017, King’s College London – the 9th Annual Joint Conference from Age UK London and the Social Care Workforce Research Unit & Making Research Count.
Respecting Human Rights in the process of providing care for older frail people, many of whom have dementia, has always been a challenge – for example, fine judgements are needed between rights to liberty and protection. In the current climate of financial restraint in care services, this has become even more difficult. This event will explore changes to the Human Rights Act and specific dilemmas in its application.
Attendance is free for LARIA Members (click here and use the ‘Making Research Count / SCWRU’ ticket option).
