Project in brief
Centre of Resilience for Social Justice (CRSJ) invites applications for a full-time three-year PhD studentship from October 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. In collaboration with Blackpool Council and Boingboing, this PhD project will contribute to researching the effectiveness of a Big Lottery-funded initiative, Blackpool HeadStart, a whole-system-focused programme to improve the resilience of 10 to 16 year olds. Blackpool HeadStart programme builds on resilience and complex systems theories studied and developed by the CRSJ. This particular PhD project will focus on Blackpool HeadStart’s Academic Resilience Approach, a systems-oriented school-based resilience intervention.
