Jason Lowther (University of Birmingham) and Tom Collinson are currently researching the ways in which local governments are making use of data analysis, to plan and manage a response to the current Covid-19 crisis.
They have identified a number of areas where councils might be making use of data analysis to inform their decision making. Among these are:
Communication and Awareness Rising Enforcing Social Distancing and Confinement Workplace Practices and Commuting Patterns Targeted Measures for Vulnerable Group Local Service Delivery, Notably Water and Waste Support to Business and Economic Recovery They are looking for examples where data analysis is being put to use in any of these areas and have asked for members to send any suggestions to Tom at the email address collinson.tom@gmail.com. |
